B. Cnossen (University of Regensburg), Construction of six-functor formalisms

Abstract: Recent years have seen an explosion of interest in six-functor formalisms, i.e. categorified cohomology theories. While powerful, such six-functor formalisms are usually impossible to define directly by hand, due to all the higher coherences involved. In this talk, I will explain a new conceptual proof for a general construction principle for six-functor formalisms. Joint work with T. Lenz and S. Linskens.
