Title: Hypersurfaces of the Projective Space
Abstract: The hypersurfaces are the simpliest algebraic varieties, in the sense that they correspond to the zeros of one (and only one) polynomial of many variables. In this talk we will study the basic properties of the space that parametrizes the hypersurfaces and we will answer quenstions, like, how many lines are contained in the “general” hypersurface.
